Franschhoek The Home Of Delicious Wine & Fabulous Food

Bon 14 julliet! 😊🇫🇷 Today we headed to the picturesque village of Franschhoek to celebrate Bastille Day. In fact, Franschhoek in Afrikaans literally translates to “French Corner”, and the locals are mighty proud of their “tradition française”. 🥂🥖
It was in this gorgeous region that protestant French Huguenots settled when they fled from religious persecution in Europe. With them they brought the skill to make delicious wine, fab food and tasty crêpes. All of which we enjoyed today 😋.
