Where do you consider to be #lockdownworthy !? In what place could you quite happilly spend 21 days (or even longer) and love every second of it?
Like you, we quickly came to the stark realisation that not all lockdown locations are equal. We might be stuck in a postage-size house (that’s François, JD, Nanny Portia, our daughter Isabella and our adorable mix-breed mutt Charlie all cramped together). But let's be honest, some people got a much better deal than others for spending lockdown.
Which is why over the next few days we’ll be sharing with you our 5 ultimate #lockdownworthy locations. These are places where real people we know and work with through The Travel Cafe, are currently spending their lockdown. Today’s pick: Botswana ! ๐ง๐ผ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ฆ And oh wow, what a treat you’re in for! Those ellies frolicking in the water is just PURE JOY (check out the full video on Insta @thetravelcafecapetown), it's well worth it!
For the last two years Botswana has been struck badly with drought. We are beyond excited to let you know that thanks to very good rains, the water levels are rising beautifully! Thankfully the rains arrived just in time for high season (June/July) by which time all the travel bans will hopefully be lifted๐ค . We can’t wait to indulge our wanderlust again following this virus with a quick #postcovidcation ๐
Thank you so much to Fasiega from Wilderness Safaris for sharing with us this footage captured by the staff at the gorgeous @JaoCamp and @MomboCamp in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. WOW!!! What wonderful footage.
We could definitely - and quite happily so - spend the entire lockdown there! What location do you think is #lockdownworthy ? Let us know below๐๐
