The hot air balloon is carried by the wind; thus, the landing point also depend on the wind. The pilots decide in the afternoon before the flight where they will be taking off and communicate this information to the accommodation where the guests will be picked up. Rule of thumb has it that you will be picked up approximately 45 minutes before sunrise either at your accommodation or at an agreed meeting point.
Just before sunrise you embark to enjoy a breath-taking sunrise moments later from the balloon – an indescribable experience. During the next hour you have the privilege to witness the awakening of the Namib Desert from above.
At the landing place in the middle of nowhere, an excellent breakfast buffet with sparkling wine reception awaits you. A true "Out of Africa" experience. Before you are taken on a scenic drive back to the allocated pick up Points, the pilot will hand over your flight certificate.
