As lockdown restrictions continue to ease in South Africa, we are finally able to indulge in our favourite passion: TRAVEL!!! 🧳☀️✈️
Where did we choose to go for our very first #postCovidcation? To the Cederberg Wilderness Area, one of jewels in CapeNature 's crown. Located about 4hrs drive from Cape Town, this is a spectacularly beautiful and utterly unspoilt part of South Africa renowned for:
- Towering rock arches
- Otherwordly stone formations ⛰️
- Ancient Khoisan rock art dating back 10,000+ years
- Very precious wild leopards that roam free in the mountains 🐆
- World class rock climbing 🧗♀️
- Jaw-droppingly beautiful stargazing 🌌🌘
At The Travel Cafe we love sharing unspoilt destinations that are so far off the beaten track, you don't generally see them in travel agents' cookie-cutter tours. The Cederberg is easy to combine with a visit to Cape Town, Safari destinations, Victoria Falls, the Garden Route and the West Coast village of Paternoster.
François and JD had the best time ever, and snapped away like crazy. Click through the photo album to dig deeper, or visit our dedicated
Cederberg destination page.
