UK government has announced South Africa is no longer on its travel Red List

 As Britain slashes travel Red List, South Africa queues freshest fish & chips to welcome back Brits to Africa after 564 days.

Yes we know it's a cliché, but on a day of celebrations we just cannot help ourselves After exactly 564 days (nearly 2 years!) that British travellers  could not easily visit South Africa , a prime holiday destination for sun-seeking Britons, the UK government has announced South Africa is no longer on its travel Red List. Woohoo!!!! At long last Brits can travel freely to SA, and many other parts of Africa .

From next Monday, 11 October 2021, the UK will stop imposing a quarantine to their residents when returning from the majority of Southern Africa, Eastern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands, which The Travel Cafe covers.

This includes travel to South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Réunion  add Seychelles.
